  • According to recent reports (1,2) Nodding Syndrome (see SSMJ 4/1) has hit Kitgum, Pader and Gulu districts in northern Uganda. More than 1000 cases were diagnosed between August and mid-December. It has now reached Yumbe, which borders South Sudan – where cases have also been reported.
